McIntosh > Amplificateur tubes MC 275
In 1949, McIntosh was awarded a patent for its Unity-Coupled output circuit and has been improving it ever since. The revolutionary circuit design enabled the development of audio amplifiers that produced the lowest distortion over the widest bandwidth, all without sacrificing high efficiency. The venerable MC275, arguably the most sought-after amplifier ever built, was first launched in 1961 and represented the pinnacle of vacuum tube technology. Commemorative versions, which were popular when released during the 1990s, employed the amplifier’s original design. The enhanced performance of the new MC275 is the result of modern design technology and manufacturing techniques. Old-fashioned pointto- point wiring has been replaced with glass-epoxy printed circuit boards, developed through computer-aided design, which ensures lowest noise and highest operational consistency. Additional circuit refinements enable use of the widest variety of output tubes without sacrificing performance. |
