The C45 is the perfect choice for those who wish to enjoy multi-channel
audio in addition to pure stereo. While the C45 contains no decoders,
two sets of 6-channel inputs enable use with source components, such
as DVD players, that contain built-in decoders for the latest formats,
including DVD-A, SACD, Dolby Digital, DTS, etc. Each 6-channel input
may be assigned to any of the eight source inputs.
The C45 Audio Control Center was designed for the music lover. Ultrashort
signal paths and use of sealed, gas-filled switching nodes prevent
preamp noise from entering the signal path.
Volume for each of the six channels is controlled individually by a
precision attenuator, part of a sophisticated 2-stage circuit design,
to ensure accuracy, maximize dynamic range and eliminate the
effects of mechanical wear.
Other source inputs include a high-performance phono stage for your
turntable. An expansion slot enables internal installation of an optional
AM/FM stereo tuner module by an Authorized Dealer. The tuner module
delivers the same high-quality AM/FM performance as McIntosh
component tuners.
